I am now officially ready for Valentine's Day.
Our table {for two} is all set up in the Sun Room ready for Valentine's Day. Our coffee mugs, with all their sweetness, await our first cup of coffee on Valentine's Day morning.
Yep, we will definitely start our day off with coffee and save all those little sweet treats for throughout the day ...wahoo!
This little tablescape is all about love ...red hearts and chocolate kisses abound. This is most definitely a Valentine's tablescape ...lots and lots of red to remind us of what day we are celebrating.
I love the color red ...using it to decorate a table was so much fun.
I even set out little candles to light for dinner.
And what is this? A small package and a chocolate heart! And speaking of chocolate ...let's not forget my Valentine's tradition of having a Dark Chocolate Martini after dinner. Get the recipe here.
When it comes to incorporating tranditions into holidays ...I'm really big on them. I don't ever want to take what I have for granted ...life is way too important.
I hope you have a very happy Valentine's Day no matter where you are on that day ...whether home or far away ...always know that you are loved and that...
happiness is something we create in our mind,
It's not something you search for and so seldom find.
It's just waking up and beginning the day
By counting our blessings and kneeling to pray.
It's giving up thoughts that breed discontent
And accepting what comes as a "gift heaven-sent."
It's giving up wishing for things we have not
And making the best of whatever we've got.
It's knowing that life is determined for us,
And pursuing our tasks without fret, fume, or fuss.
For it's by completing what God gives us to do
That we find real contentment and happiness, too.
