Man I had seriously fallen off my exercise routine ...and then I got on the scale.
It is hard to imagine why, but I just stopped working out. For me that is a dangerous place to be.
When doing Tai Chi ...I felt so much better ...calmer ...healthier all around.
I used Tai Chi for ny reason, so giving it up just didn't make any sense.
This week I got back on track and I also added yoga to my exercise routine.
I'll start out slowly, but plan to do a exercise routine every day.
I usually save my Tai Chi for the evening. This seems to work best for me. It calms me down after a hectic day and is a smooth transition into meditation tapes.
I have found what works for me since I was having issues with being able to sleep through the night. Of course, everything I do is doctor approved ...important step especially if you are on any medications or have any ailments.
I think most people live in a very stressful environment, even if they don't realize it. With the speed of technology, we are constantly being stimulated to react to phones ringing, email deliveries, and the news media's desire to grab out attention.
What sort of things do you do to relax?
I love to get a massage and am also learning how to do reflexology on my hands. I have found that it is something I can reward myself with whenever and wherever I am ...like traveling in a car or plane ...sitting in a waiting room.
My massages also include the hot stones. I wasn't sure I'd like it, but I really look forward to that part.
If you get a massage, how often do you treat yourself to one?
I consider a good massage to be well worth the money it cost. I could spend the money on a new outfit or go out to dinner, but when I budget it in ...I don't feel guilty about spending the money on myself.
I also had one of those wraps ...once. Expensive and I didn't see much benefit. With a theraputic massage ...I can lose myself in sheer relaxation.
So this week:
1. I started doing Tai Chi again
2. Added Yoga into my exercise routine
3. Got a massage
4. Learning and using Reflexology {this is the book I like here}
What cool stuff did you do for yourself this week?
