Well it is the last day of January and the last day for my Photo Bug challenge.
I made it and I am so proud of myself!
Today's topic for my Photo Bug challenge is JEWELRY ...a gal's best friend.

More specifically ...I'm showing off my pearls ...something I didn't own until just a few years ago.
I used to think that a pearl necklace was old fashioned ...something older women wore ...until I decided to try them on at the store one day.
It is funny 'cause I wasn't looking for pearls that day ...I was shopping for a ring.
The necklace was displayed on black velvet ...oooooh aaaaaah! That caused me to pause and take a closer look. Those darn people in charge of displays had me at black and white.
That is the year my mother passed away and I was left with her beautiful pearl necklace to care for and wear.
And with this post today, Dear Readers, I complete my 20 day Photo Bug challenge. I hope those of you who have visited have enjoyed my photographs and journaling. Thank you for your comments ...they do make my heart sing.
