Well St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner.
What do you do to celebrate the day?
Well, I am celebrating with my favorite Pecan Pie.
It is in no way a traditional St. Patrick's Day thing...I just happen to love pecan pie and decided to have it to celebrate today's Tea Party.
I remember my Grandmother making the most wonderful desserts and I would always gravitate toward her pecan pie. So either I was a squirrel in my former life or I just have a thing for pecan pie.
Either way...
pecan pie is my dessert of choice for today's Tea Party celebration.
And no {if you are even the slightest bit interested}, I did not bake this particular pecan pie.
I don't bake much anymore. I just like to dress up my dishes with all sorts of delicious types of desserts.
The desserts are so pretty perched up on top of my special dishes. And the best part is that I get to eat the desserts. Sometimes I share them.
There was a time though that I did my share of baking. Those days are gone as I struggle to keep my weight in check.
So unless I'm planning a party...I don't bake much anymore.
I'm okay with that too.
I'm content to pick up dessert, whenever I feel like it, on my way home.
So no green dessert this year...maybe next.
Have a great St. Patrick's Day!
What are your plans?
Call it an obsession if you must, but there are those special individuals that have become enchanted with the thrill of how decorating can breathe new life into a loving home. We marvel over the way a tablescape makes an ordinary table come alive. Some are amazed at how we are able to blend our loving keepsakes with new found treasures to create marvelous vignettes over and over again without growing tired of the thrill it delivers. How we can sand those floors, stairs, and furniture over and over until our fingers grow numb and still get weak in the knees when the job is done.
